DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table returns no rows

Yesterday I run a query on that table and nothing returned. After a little search on support I realized that there is a bug about “union all” queries. DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS view is based on “union all”.

The bug is reported on 11.2.0.3 and 11.2.0.2 versions. After I execute the workaround, I could bypass the bug and got some results.

Info for that table :

Bug description :
Bug 13984324 – wrong result with UNION ALL of similar queries / in DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS [ID 13984324.8]

Workaround :
alter session set “_optimizer_join_factorization”=false;
